Laura Cloutier, executive director of the Wixom Downtown Development Authority (DDA), says Wixom’s Block Party is “going to be bigger and better than ever.”
Part of that, she said, is due to partnerships with two other organizations.
Joan Baert, executive director for Lakes Area Community Coalition (LACC), explained that the organization’s first-ever 5K run/walk, “Make a Move to Prevent Addiction” and its pre-existing bike ride, Pedal for Prevention, will lead up to the large event. The purpose of the walk/run and the bike ride are to encourage movement, engagement, raise funds and educate people.
Cloutier explained that JDM Detroit is bringing a 70-car collection of “Fast and Furious” style cars to the event for its entire duration, from noon to 5 p.m. September 10…. Read The Full Article Here
