Downtown Wixom brought a group of fifteen enthusiastic board and committee members, elected officials, and residents to celebrate its accomplishments. The Wixom DDA submitted for five awards and were greatly honored with winning two, Business Innovation & Entrepreneurship for Drafting Table Brewing Company (DTBC) and Main Street Leader for the Wixom DDA Executive Director, Laura Cloutier.

DTBC’s business model is to engage with the community, help support surrounding businesses, and create a sense of place for those that come to brewery. Owners Aaron and Kristin Rzeznik do this every day with hosting the DTBC Run Club, Bike Nights, Books & Brews, and Euchre Nights, along with making everyone feel welcomed. Aaron and Tom Rzeznik were thrilled to receive Business Innovation & Entrepreneurship award and are very thankful to the community for its support.

Laura Cloutier was honored by winning the Main Street Leader award. She has worked hard to diversify DDA funding for upcoming projects, takes on long days planning and executing events, manages all the DDA’s social media, and holds a positive outlook in everything she does. This past year Laura has been able to secure nearly 1 million dollars in grant funding for the future West End Commons area that will create a place for the community and Junction Social District.

Congratulations to both Drafting Table Brewing Company and our Executive Director, Laura Cloutier.

The Wixom DDA looks forward to continuing to grow and achieve more. It is a great honor to be recognized by Main Street Oakland County and have the support of our community.
